Next Parish Council Meeting – Thursday 25th August

The next Parish Council Meeting will take place at 7.30 on Thursday August 25th in the Old School Room. The meeting is open to the public, and if anyone wishes to address the Council on any of the items on the agenda, please notify David Marriott on  07872930030 or horleyparishclerk@btinternet.com before the meeting. Whilst here is no absolute right to do this, the Chairman has the authority to permit it if he chooses to do so.

  • Minutes of the meeting held on 19th May and 14th July 2016
  • Matters arising
  • Finance – 2016/17 budget monitoring report
  • B4100 road closure
  • Land adjoining the Old Council Houses, Wroxton Lane

  • Date of next meeting – Thursday 17th November 2016 – 7.30 pm.

No ‘Knit and Stitch’ Now until 8th Sept

As there is a referendum vote being held in the Old School this Thursday, this week’s ‘Knit and Stitch’ Group meeting is cancelled. There will then be a summer break before the next one.

Summer Fete – Next Saturday 25th June

Picture2Horley’s Summer Fete  is NEXT Saturday 25th June, lots of work has gone into making this annual event special so make sure you get there from 2 to 5pm, in the Old School and Church.

Stalls include the tombola, plants, bric-a-brac, splat the rat, homemade cakes, nice or nasty jars, water or wine and many more.

Wandering minstrels, refreshments – teas, cakes, Pimms and a barbecue

Raffle Prize Draw – first prize £100 cash, second prize a BMW for a weekend.

Wanted: Bric-a-brac for the Summer Fete -25th June

Summer FeteHorley’s Summer Fete this year is on Saturday 25th June and will once again include the popular bric-a-brac stall.  So please dig out any toys, books and other bric-a-brac you no longer need and someone from the Ladies Guild will be round to take them off your hands during week commencing 13th June.

And whilst you’re having a cleansing sort out of your cupboards and places for bric a brac, if you come across any spare bottles of wine or tombola prizes you would like to donate, the Ladies Guild will happily take them off your hands too and put them to good use.

Don’t forget then to come along and enjoy this wonderful annual event from 2 to 5pm, in the Old School and Church.
