What a perfect way to spend a beautiful sunny day, come along to a traditional village fete – tomorrow Saturday 16th July 2 pm in Horley

Don’t forget to come along to our first village fete for a few years, enjoy a Pimms or refreshments with our delicious BBQ and homemade cakes and take part in traditional village fete activities.

Lots of amazing raffle prizes including a Fitbit Inspire 2, theatre tickets and hampers in addition to those shown on the flyer below.

Horley’s Virtual Summer Fete Continues…

The Ladies Guild Virtual summer fete continues until the end of tomorrow so you still have time to complete the Quiz or your Judy Duck design! So get out your walking boots and paints, you never know you may win a prize – a Carpenters Voucher and Prosecco for the Quiz and chocolate goodies for the artist!

As anticipated the virtual cake stall is going very well so get your orders in now! (See Fancy A Cake…?) There is also some raspberry jam available at £2.50 per jar and flapjack and ginger biscuits for £3.00.

Please leave all donations at Caroline’s plant stall in Lane Close.

This Year’s Summer Fete Will Be a Virtual One

Despite Lockdown and all the restrictions that go with it, we will still be able to have a summer fete this year, albeit a virtual one. The Ladies Guild Virtual Fete starts now and will continue until June 14th. See poster below for details.

As part of the Ladies Guild Virtual Fete there is a quiz to find out just how observant we have all been during our walks around the village during lockdown.

DOG SHOW

In Horley Manor yard

Registration from 14.00

2.40pm The Cutest Puppy (under 12 months old)
2.50pm The Prettiest Bitch (all ages)
3.00pm The Most Handsome Dog (all ages)
3.10pm The Most Gorgeous Golden Oldie (over 10 years old)
3.20pm The Best Paw Shaker
3.35pm Musical Sits (when the music stops the dog has to sit in a hoop)

During the afternoon: Agility Competition for dogs and their owner.
2 dogs at a time will compete against each other. If a dog doesn’t want to do one or any of the agility tasks the owner must do that task or tasks instead.

Entry fee:  £1 per dog per class and Agility Competition
Please ensure you are ready to go into the arena at the time listed next to your classes
