Activities

Though small, Horley has a thriving and busy community that “punches well above its weight” in the number of groups and activities that go on in our little corner of North Oxfordshire.

This page has been created to provide a menu for all these activities. Some are listed below.

Cricket Club – a wonderful resource for the village, whether you play or not. There are exciting plans for a new pavilion, and lots of functions take place such as the Summer Sports Evening and Autumn Ball. See the link for latest news of the ClubMark status award.

Horley Footlights – started in 2002 with “Mother Goose Rocks”, and since then has had 12 full-scale productions and many smaller events. A reduced Mid Summers Night Dream is being staged in the church this summer.

The Ladies Guild – plans and organizes various fund-raising events in the village in support of the Church and other charities and takes care of the church interior. Events include the Summer Fete, Christmas Market, Coffee Mornings.

Knit and Stitch  – meet every 2 weeks in the Old School.
