Breast Cancer Now

A Huge Thank You! ☕🍰

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Coffee Morning for Breast Cancer Now on Saturday.

Whether you baked delicious cakes, donated raffle prizes, or simply came along to enjoy the fantastic selection of home baking, your support was greatly appreciated and helped make the event such a success.

We’re delighted to share that together we raised an amazing £610 for Breast Cancer Now. This is a wonderful amount for a very deserving charity and would not have been possible without the generosity and support of our local community.

Thank you once again to everyone who contributed and joined us. Your kindness and support made all the difference! 💖

And a chance to try out ringing one of Horley’s church bells!

Donations of plants, ladies’ clothes and children’s toys and books are very welcome. Please drop items off at the School Hall on Tuesday between 7pm and 8pm or at the Church on Thursday or Friday – or email us at:  horleyladiesguild@gmail.com and we will arrange to collect.

The annual village litter pick will take place on Saturday 7th March.

If you can spare half an hour or so to help out, please gather in front of the Old Post Office on the corner of Banbury Lane at 10:00 on 7th March.  Litter pickers, protective gloves and rubbish and recycling bags will be provided by CDC.  Please wear gloves (your own or those provided by CDC) to protect yourself against any risk of infection, and take care to wash your hands thoroughly after the Litter Pick has been completed.

Hornton Lane is still closed

The water leak has been fixed but Hornton Lane is still closed today (19th Feb) outside Holly Tree Farmhouse. It is likely to be closed for a few more days until the road is repaired.

Hornton Lane is temporarily closed today (19th Feb) outside Holly Tree Farmhouse whilst Thames Water fix the water leak. Work should be complete and the road open again by early afternoon.

‘Winter Woodland’ painting evening in the Old School on 6 Feb

Following the success of the lino-printing workshop last November, Tracey and Claud are back with another event to raise funds for Katharine House Hospice.

A ‘Winter Wonderland’ painting evening will take place in the Old School on Friday 6th Feb from 6:30 pm. To book a place, please contact Tracey or send an email to: horleyladiesguild@gmail.com

‘Come to an evening of painting your very own ‘Winter woodland’ canvas. Paint along with me and I promise you will finish with a beautiful painting that you will be proud of, with lots of fun and and laughter along the way. You don’t have to have any experience, you just need to have plenty of enthusiasm! I will provide all the materials. I look forward to seeing you, all in aid of Katharine House Hospice.
