The Horley Parish Council has a vacancy and is inviting applications from interested persons to sit on the Village Parish Council as a voluntary co-opted member until the elections in May 2026.
The Parish Council meets 5 times a year in the evening (normally a Thursday). Other meetings may be called if and when required. Between meetings communication is done mainly by email. The next meeting is on April 24th 2025.
The position holds full voting rights on issues relating to the village and its residents.
To qualify the person should be
- A British citizen, a Commonwealth citizen or a citizen of a European Union Country
- Aged 18 or over
- On the Parish electoral register or lived either in the parish or within three miles of its boundary for at least a year on April 24th 2025.
- Not be the subject of a bankruptcy restrictions order or interim order.
