Village Spring Clean reminder – this Saturday (25th March)

The annual village Spring Clean (litter pick) will take place at 10:00 on Saturday 25th March.

Litter pickers, protective gloves and rubbish and recycling bags will be provided by CDC.  If you have you own gloves, that would be great, as you are urged to protect yourselves against any risk of infection, and take care to wash your hands thoroughly after the Spring Clean has been completed.

Mothering Sunday – and Saturday

We had a brilliant, fabulous, fun morning getting ready for Mothering Sunday this Saturday at the Old Schoolhouse – Mums, Dads, children and members of St Etheldreda’s church exercised their creative skills making Mother’s Day pictures, posies and badges.

Many thanks to Sarah Allitt and Sarah Taylor for helping organise the event and providing flowers, and to Sue Ashdown, Kate Wythe & Fiona Taylor for extra support.

Here are some pictures to give a flavour of the event.

Tomorrow on Mothering Sunday March 19th we will be in church for a Mothering Sunday Holy Communion starting at 10:30am, with posies for mums/ grannies/ aunties &c.  Do come and join us as we celebrate and give thanks for Mums and all they are to us.

Anyone interested in being kept in touch with activities for children and families please get in touch with:
