Horley’s Winter Market

‘The Horley Ladies Guild would like to thank everyone who came to the Winter Market in the church on Saturday.  It was great to see so many people there and we hope you all enjoyed it.

The lucky winners of the fantastic prizes in the raffle were:

3rd Prize    –   Fruit hamper         David Taylor

Hornton Lane To Be Closed from 6pm on 18th November

Hornton Lane to be closed on the evening of Sunday November 18th from 6 pm

Thames Water are to carry out some repairs to the water main on Hornton Lane, and will be closing the road  between Lane Close and Church Lane.  The works are scheduled to take place from 18.00 on the evening of November 18th and a road closure will be in force to enable the works to be carried out safely.

Don’t Miss Horley’s Winter Market Next Saturday 4 – 6pm

Horley’s Winter Market is being held in St. Etheldreda’s Church on Saturday November 17th between 4 and 6pm.

Various traditional and artisan craft stalls, tombola, wreaths (to order), letters to Santa, mulled wine and prosecco are just some of the this year’s attractions.

 

Ringing Out For Peace On Sunday at 7.05 pm

Listen Out for the church bells on Sunday evening at 7.05

Along with hundreds of other churches and Cathedrals throughout the country, the bells of St Etheldreda will be rung at 19.05 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1 and pay tribute to the millions of soldiers who died or were wounded.

Remembrance Service this Sunday at St Etheldreda’s


100 years since the armistice which ended World War 1.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at
St Etheldreda’s Church, Horley.

This Sunday 11 November at 10.55am.
