Flowers in the church porch
Caroline’s Plant Stall
Once again a very big thank you to everyone who supported the Virtual Fete this year and in particular to Caroline for running the plant stall and the bakers for making the delicious cakes!
The money raised is £1,267.87 which is absolutely fantastic, and actually slightly more than last year!
On behalf of the Ladies Guild £100 has been donated to each of Katherine House Hospice, Warwick Hospital and Horton Hospital.
A huge thank you again for supporting this year’s activities.
A big thank you to everyone who supported the Virtual Fete! Although it It wasn’t quite what was anticipated at the time of planning, it’s great that we were still able to raise some money for the Church and a few other local good causes and have a bit of fun along the way.
Seven very observant entrants answered all questions correctly and the winners are Andy and Liza Hopkinson who have received a £20 voucher donated by Carpenters and a bottle of Prosecco. Everyone who entered did really well and most only got one question wrong – the Horley sign in picture 1 being the main one that fooled people! Here are the answers lockdown quiz answers.
There was an impressive amount of detail in some of the answers, including map references, witty comments, the names of people who live in the various houses, and from the Herrick family, photos of the children at each location. This deserved a special prize of a chocolate bouquet!
The Art competition younger age group was won by Emily Taylor (aged 5) and the older age group by Tula Parsons. See below for their lovely pictures. They have each won a chocolate bouquet.
The plant stall is staying open till the weekend.
