Church Bells to Ring Again This Saturday…

Horley bells to ring again on Saturday 15th August!

The bells at St Etheldreda’s haven’t been rung since March because of lockdown restrictions (you may have heard the clock chimes which have continued as they are automatic). However the bells will ring again on Saturday 15th August just after 11am to mark the 75th Anniversary of VJ Day.

We will only ring four of our six bells so that we can maintain the recommended social distance between ringers.  Ringing will be for just 15 minutes and only the bells ringers are allowed in the Church at the time.

We hope you enjoy hearing the bells again but please forgive us if our ringing is a bit rusty as we haven’t rung for 5 months!
