Horley’s Winter Market is being held in St. Etheldreda’s Church on Saturday November 17th between 4 and 6pm.
Various traditional and artisan craft stalls, tombola, wreaths (to order), letters to Santa, mulled wine and prosecco are just some of the this year’s attractions.
Listen Out for the church bells on Sunday evening at 7.05Along with hundreds of other churches and Cathedrals throughout the country, the bells of St Etheldreda will be rung at 19.05 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1 and pay tribute to the millions of soldiers who died or were wounded.

Would you like to be a Community Warden or a Local Highway Inspector For Horley?
Oxfordshire County Council wish to attract volunteers to assist with two areas of work in their local communities.
A Community Warden will aim to help elderly or vulnerable people in our communities, and generally anyone who needs assistance. There is a focus on fire safety, and ensuring people are able to get the appropriate help if things go wrong, such as in the event of severe weather, power cuts, or other emergencies. A Local Highway Inspector will report problems arising such as potholes, so that repairs can be arranged speedily. Again, appropriate training will be provided.
