The Village Lottery is a major source of funding for the Michael Hardinge Trust, which provides educational support to children and young people as well as maintaining the Old School Hall as an important village asset.
The new lottery year starts on Saturday 4th November and it’s not too late to join in – see below for details:


Thank you to everyone who supported the Ladies Guild funding raising coffee morning in aid of Breast Cancer Now last Saturday. We raised a fantastic £596 from the event!
Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury collision on the M40 near Banbury as follows:
‘At around 5pm on Sunday evening (22/10), a collision occurred between a red and black Yamaha motorcycle and a red mini in lane three of the M40 not far from the slip road for junction 11.
The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his thirties, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to hospital in Coventry, where he remains.
We are asking anyone with dash-cam footage to please get in touch if it shows anything that would be useful for our investigation.

Tash and Dave from the Red Lion say ‘A big thank you for everyone’s support for the Harvest Festival at the Red Lion. The evening was a huge success and together you raised just over £1,600 for Katharine House Hospice!!!! Amazing!!!! Such lovely local produce and work, Horley should be very proud.😊’
Arrangements have now been made for the funeral of our former rector, John Reader, who died recently.
The funeral will take place on Friday 20th October at 2pm at the Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, Wootton by Woodstock.
