The annual Progressive Dinner took place last Saturday evening and was as ever an enjoyable and successful event. This year 82 villagers took part with 10 brave couples hosting!
Many thanks to the organisers and everyone involved for making it such a fantastic evening.
£1240 was raised for St Etheldreda’s church.

Famous Jazz musician Louis Armstrong once said “There is two kinds of music, the good & the bad. I play the good kind.” Well the same can be said of the Great Central Big Band. Local to Upton House we are delighted for them to be headlining our annual jazz concert this year.
With no less than 20 members and a huge selection of instruments from drums to saxophone, including the flute, clarinet, trombone and trumpets. They will take us on a jazz journey from the 1920s right through to modern day, with some old classics and more modern greats. Join in the singing and dancing on the vast lawn at Upton on Saturday 7thJuly, perfect for a family evening out.
Cotswold Distillery will also be on hand to showcase some master classes on making the perfect Gin cocktail. Why not bring a picnic, treat yourself to a drink from the bar and relax on the grass on a lovely summer evening?

We have prayer stations in church and a new prayer walk leaflet for you to follow. So if you would like to step off the treadmill for a while or need an escape from exam stress pop in and enjoy the piece and quiet.’
