Ukraine Appeal – Update Dec 23
Although the situation in Ukraine is not front page news so much these days, donations of food and other items are still urgently needed. A truck will be making at least one more trip this year following a contribution towards the cost of petrol from the proceeds of the monthly village coffee mornings. Please put any items you can contribute in the box under Rita’s porch as soon as you can.
Items especially needed are food (cans, packets of rice, pasta etc), warm winter clothing and bandages. All donations are much appreciated and Rita continues to do great job collecting and taking the items down to central hub.

Garden Waste collections
Collections will be suspended for two weeks from Tuesday 26th December until and including Friday 5th January, to allow our crews to prioritise the additional recycling and food waste that accrues over Christmas.
If you have any garden waste over this time that can’t wait for the next collection, you can take it to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre.
Christmas tree recycling
We’ll be collecting real Christmas trees from Tuesday 9th January until and including Friday 19th January. Please ensure that all lights and decorations have been removed from the tree. Any tree that is over 5ft tall must be cut in half.
