Refuse, recycling, and food waste collections will change over Christmas and New Year.

From Tuesday 26 December 2023, collections will be a day later than scheduled.  This is for all collections across Cherwell District Council and includes green bin, blue bin, and food caddy collections.

Please make sure bins are out for collection by 7.00am.

The green bin, blue bin and food caddy collections will resume as normal on Tuesday 2^nd January.

Garden Waste collections

Collections will be suspended for two weeks from Tuesday 26^th December until and including Friday 5^th January, to allow our crews to prioritise the additional recycling and food waste that accrues over Christmas.

If you have any garden waste over this time that can’t wait for the next collection, you can take it to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre.

Christmas tree recycling

We’ll be collecting real Christmas trees from Tuesday 9^th January until and including Friday 19^th January. Please ensure that all lights and decorations have been removed from the tree. Any tree that is over 5ft tall must be cut in half.
