Good News! The Red Lion is to reopen from Saturday 4th – see following from Dave Morris about the arrangements:
‘The Red Lion will re-open on Saturday 4th July from 12 – 6pm with a trial run for the patrons who supported the ‘text and take-away’ service. Regulars who had to shield are also welcome to the trial of new procedures.
Only the garden (and toilets) will be available for use.
Patrons will need their phones to register as per Goverment guidelines and orders will be taken by text. Payment will be card or cash.
Safe social distancing rules will apply and to that end there will be a maximum limit of 30 patrons on the premises.
Should all go well, the pub will be open new hours to suit the Summer garden trade:
- Tuesday – Saturday: 4pm – 9pm
- Sunday: 12pm – 6pm
- Monday: Closed
After the popularity of the take-away service, the pub will continue to sell ale at a discount of 15% for those who bring their own closed containers.
These are very strange times, but it is hoped that the pub can continue to be the centre of the great community spirit that has come to the fore during the recent trials and tribulations.’
Cheers, Dave
