Vistry Homes Planning Application

As you are doubtless aware, Vistry Homes have submitted an outline planning application to Cherwell District Council to build 170 houses on the fields between Hanwell and Banbury.

Details of the application, together with a form to comment on and track the application, can be found here: Vistry Homes Planning Application. Comments are due by 19 May 2023.

It is important that all comments are sent directly to Cherwell District Council before the closing date.

Whilst the application relates to land in Hanwell Parish, if you would like to make your views on the application known to the Horley Parish Council for their information, please send an email to: horleypc@gmail.com. NB: This should be in addition to sending comments directly to Cherwell District Council.

Caroline’s plant stall is back!

Caroline will be setting up a small plant table this week outside her house in Lane Close. Donations of plants welcome. All funds raised are in aid of St Etheldreda’s.

Reminder: Horley Village Coronation Celebrations

Not long now till the Coronation!

Horley bells will be ‘Ringing for the King’ on Saturday 6th May from 15:15 to 16:00 – listen out and/or come to the Church to watch.

Then on Sunday 7th May it’s the village Coronation Lunch at Hadsham Farm.

Lots of you have already booked tables and chairs to be sure you don’t need to bring them with you – and they can be decorated in advance if you are feeling creative! There are still a few left which can be booked by emailing: horleyladiesguild@gmail.com or by asking any of the Ladies Guild.

You are also welcome to just come along on the day – there are picnic tables outside or you could bring your own chairs to make sure you get a seat indoors if the weather doesn’t look too promising!

And don’t forget there will be a celebratory cake and fizz!
