The grass is growing already so we’ve arranged for the annual village litter pick to take place earlier this year, on Saturday 2nd March.
If you can spare half an hour or so to help out, please gather in front of the Old Post Office on the corner of Banbury Lane at 10:00 on 2nd March. Litter pickers, protective gloves and rubbish and recycling bags will be provided by CDC. Please wear gloves (your own or those provided by CDC) to protect yourself against any risk of infection, and take care to wash your hands thoroughly after the Litter Pick has been completed.

Notes related to service D:
• Times are subject to change due to fleet/operator availability, and each route might operate on different days
• Mollington and Little Bourton now served frequently by Stagecoach service 77A, six days per week
• Cropredy served by routes 497 and 501 on Thursdays and Saturdays • Claydon served by route 497 on Thursdays
• R indicates that the service operates to these points on request only
Particular questions related to service D:
• Is there enough time in Banbury for each service?
• What days of the week should this service run, bearing in mind the existing provision for Cropredy and Claydon?
• Is a minibus (16 seats) likely to be sufficient?
• Is there likely to be sufficient demand for this service?
Oxfordshire County Council is inviting applications for 20mph speed limits from communities who currently do not have them. The County Council would fund all the legal work as well as signage etc.
The Parish Council discussed this subject at their recent meeting and makes a strong recommendation that the application process be started. If successful, the limits should be in place by the end of 2025.
The Parish Council would welcome the residents’ views on this subject. Please send your comments to the Parish Clerk.
