The progressive dinner is back on 11th June!

The highlight of Horley’s Social Calendar is back. The 11th June is the date to meet up with new and familiar faces and sample the culinary delights of fellow Horley residents.

We meet at The Red Lion where you will receive the first of three envelopes detailing where you will go for your starter. There you will leave your £25 – and please bring a bottle of wine per person to give your first host. After two further courses in different locations we will go back to the pub.

The Progressive Dinner is always a great night and raises very much needed funds for the church.

We are currently recruiting hosts and taking names of those attending – please contact Sarah Allitt on allittsarah@gmail.com, 07834370767 or 01295 730634

Village Spring Clean on Saturday 26th March

The annual village Spring Clean (litter pick) will take place at 10:00 on Saturday 26th March.

If you can spare some time to help out please could you gather in front of the Old Post Office on the corner of Banbury Lane at 10:00 on 26th March. Litter pickers, protective gloves and rubbish and recycling bags will be provided by CDC.  If you have you own gloves, that would be great, as you are urged to protect yourselves against any risk of infection, and take care to wash your hands thoroughly after the Spring Clean has been completed.

Let’s keep Horley looking fabulous!

Volunteers Required – Children’s Church Activities – Ironstone Benefice

Rev Alicia Baker is looking to form a team of people to assist with running Church activities for children within the Ironstone Benefice.  This may be in a variety of ways – for example, holding occasional Saturday craft events at village halls, visiting schools, or providing activities for children during some Sunday services. To begin with, Revd Alicia Baker would like those interested to meet to discuss ideas, possible avenues for children’s Church activities in the community, what level of commitment people could offer and what people’s particular gifts might be. Volunteers will be required to do the Church of England’s safeguarding procedures. If you would like more details, please contact Rev Alicia Baker on 01295 738593 or email rectorofironstone@gmail.com
