Due to a fantastic response to our forthcoming Progressive Dinner on 2nd September we are looking for another host.
Even if you haven’t hosted before we will happily guide you through the process and it really doesn’t need to be ‘Cordon Bleu’ cooking.

Oxfordshire County Council is inviting applications for 20mph speed limits from communities who currently do not have them. The County Council would fund all the legal work as well as signage etc.
The Parish Council discussed this subject at their recent meeting and makes a strong recommendation that the application process be started. If successful, the limits should be in place by the end of 2025.
The Parish Council would welcome the residents’ views on this subject. Please send your comments to the Parish Clerk.

‘The date has been announced for Cherwell District Council’s next Planning Committee Meeting and it’s decision time on the Vistry Planning Application for 170 houses in the village, and you’re all invited to that decision being made and now it’s time to act.
Please attend the Council’s Planning Committee Meeting.
The village needs its residents out in force! Cherwell District Councillors will be voting whether to grant or reject Vistry’s planning application. Our numbers in attendance will really have an impact on the decision being made on the day. We must show that we really do care.

How to find the Council Offices
Join residents from Hanwell and surrounding communities to support Keep Hanwell Village Rural Action Group/ Hanwell Parish Council’s 5 minutes in the spotlight to tell Councillors why this development would absolutely kill Hanwell as a village.
We appreciated the time of this meeting is not ideal, but we have no control over that.
PLEASE JOIN US TO #KeepHanwellVillageRural
Thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement!
We are looking forward to seeing you on Thursday 10 August at the Council’s Offices in Bodicote.

‘Hello to our neighbours 😊
It’s been a great start to the 2023 wedding season at Hadsham – the weather was a bit cold and wet in April, but May and June have been a real treat for our customers.
As we come into the peak summer months, we thought we’d just update you all on when we do and don’t have events on at the farm – essentially so you know if it’s us if you hear any music!
Event days at Hadsham are Wednesdays and Saturdays from the beginning of April through to the end of October and we’re pretty much fully booked – good news for any of you with Airbnb accommodation!
Our customers have a set-up day the day before the event and a clear-down day the day after. Amplified music is only allowed on the day of the event itself and gets turned off at midnight. And we also make our customers play their music through our in-house sound system which is computer controlled to limit the overall volume and bass levels.
As such, you really shouldn’t be able to hear us much, but it will depend on which way the wind is blowing! And any music you can hear that’s not on a Wednesday or Saturday is not us – most likely it’ll be Horley Scout camp or one of your rowdy neighbours 😊
Any issues, please call either Charlie Taylor (07920 587 406) or Rob Taylor (07796175199)
All the best, Hadsham Farm Weddings.
