Thursday 14^th May, at 7:30 here in St.Etheldreda a chance to enjoy the magic of music in our amazing church with a String Quartet Concert given by the Adderbury Ensemble:

” Tessa and I have been asked by a good friend, Chris Windass, whether we would assist in organising a String Quartet concert in the church here on Thursday 14^th May. They are called the Adderbury Ensemble and have been giving concerts in Adderbury for several years.

The concert consists of Beethoven String Quartet Op. 59 (nicknamed Rasumovsky) and Borodin String Quartet no 2, and will last approximately one hour. Both pieces are very approachable and tuneful. We hope that they should be enjoyable. He is due to give roughly the same concert in Oxford the following day. Please note that this has nothing to do with our Ironstone Concerts later in the year (September).

Tickets on the door, and cost £10, children free. 50% of any profits will go to the Church. We shall try to get the church warmed up a bit! Refreshments available.
