Don’t miss Horley’s Summer Fete on Saturday 8th June.
If you have any plants, home made cakes or children’s books and toys that you could spare, please bring them along on the day of the fete or contact horleyladiesguild@gmailcom and we will collect them.
Thanks to all those who helped make the Horley quiz held on Friday 3rd February such a success. We had a great turnout – in fact, we would not have been able to fit many more into the Old School!
Teams puzzled over crops grown around Horley; beers served in the Red Lion, road sign locations and kitchen cupboard ingredients amongst other things.
Huge thanks to everyone who helped on the night.
The quiz raised £600 to be split between two worthy charities: The Katherine House Hospice and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
Horley Ladies Guild are organising a charity quiz on 2nd Feb at 7pm – see poster below for details.
Most of the questions have a local twist so come along and pitch your wits against your neighbours in this fun quiz. Teams of up to 6 can enter, or you can come along and make up a team on the night.
Entry is £5.00 per person and all monies raised will be shared between the Katharine House Hospice and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
There will be a cash bar serving refreshments and a raffle. (Raffle prizes welcome!) Previous quizzes have been very popular – in fact we ran out of room so please book your place by contacting Emma Hamer on 07469 084691 or email Emma.Hamer@nfu.org.uk
The Village Lottery is a major source of funding for the Michael Hardinge Trust, which provides educational support to children and young people as well as maintaining the Old School Hall as an important village asset.
The new lottery year starts on Saturday 4th November and it’s not too late to join in – see below for details:
Thank you to everyone who supported the Ladies Guild funding raising coffee morning in aid of Breast Cancer Now last Saturday. We raised a fantastic £596 from the event!
