Street Light outside the Red Lion Public House

The fault with the light was initially reported and workmen turned up. The Parish Council was informed the light had been fixed. Clearly it hadn’t!

The fault was reported again and the following response has been received from Oxfordshire County Council..

There is an electricity supply fault at this street light and has been sent to the electricity company for repair. It depends on workload as as to how long it takes but is in hand to be rectified’

Defibrillator working again

I am pleased to report the Defibrillator at the Red Lion Public House is operational again.  In case of an emergency please ring 999, who will talk you through the procedure for opening the cabinet etc.

Important Notice – Defibrillator not working

There is a fault with the defibrillator on the wall outside the Red Lion Public House. The necessary authorities have been informed. However this does mean that the Ambulance Service have de-activated the service temporarily.

Car Parking Planning Application

Horley Views magazine is dropping through your letterbox this weekend. On page 21 is an item the Parish Council would urge you to read.

There is  a new planning application for car parking at the bottom of the village.  The application can now be found on the planning portal of Cherwell District Council at:

https://planningregister.cherwell.gov.uk

by searching “Horley” or the application reference number, which is 22/01653/F .  You can then access plans and other documents.

It is important that villagers make their views known about this application online.

https://planningregister.cherwell.gov.uk/Planning/Comment/22/01653/F

David Reynolds is also happy to help anyone who is not confident with putting their comments online and he is on 01295738125 or at Brantwood House in Gulliver’s Close.
